Introducing Adventures with God
Every great story begins with an invitation, and this summer we are inviting your children along for the journey.
From July 12 through August 16, Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church opens its doors for six Sunday mornings of stories, wonder, and discovery. Children from pre-K through fifth grade will travel from the very first morning of Creation to a surprising walk down a dusty road outside Jerusalem, meeting Noah, Moses, and Jonah along the way.
Each week stands on its own, so whether your family comes for one Sunday or all six, your child will find a welcome, a story worth carrying home, and friends to share it with.
These mornings are built for curiosity. We make room for big questions, for laughter, and for the simple joy of gathering. No experience is needed, and no child is a stranger here. Come as you are.
Bring your children, bring a friend, and come see what adventures are waiting.
Our teaching engages children through interactive storytelling, open-ended questions, and hands-on activities. Each session helps kids go deeper into scripture while connecting biblical stories to everyday life.
Send an interest email to our Children's Ministry Coordinator, Anna Strong.
What to Expect? Where Do I Go?
Children begin in the sanctuary with their families. Our worship service starts at 10 am.
Families and children begin in the sanctuary for worship with the full congregation and are dismissed partway through the service for Summer Sunday School. Our summer worship services generally last about an hour, with the kids being escorted to their classroom 20 minutes into the service.
We encourage attendees to dress comfortably. Some folks wear jeans, some dresses or skirts, some shorts, and others suit jackets. It's a personal preference.
Our worship services are casual and include lots of laughter, plain-spoken sermons, and beautiful music.
