Freedom Forward
Celebrating 200 Years of Faith, Family, and Service
For 200 years, Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church has been a place where faith is nurtured, families are formed, and neighbors served. Generations have gathered here to worship, to celebrate life's milestones, to welcome and embrace newcomers, and to reach out in love to the community around us.
As we mark our bicentennial, we give thanks to God for the faithful people who came before us and look with hope toward the generations still to come. Throughout this anniversary year, we invite you to join us for special events, become part of our story through a commemorative brick on our new patio, and share the celebration with bicentenial merchandise to enjoy or gift to someone else.
Whether you've been part of this church family for decades or are just discovering it, there is a place for you here and in this celebration of 200 years of faith, family, and service.

Commemorative Bricks
Why Commemorative Bricks?
When our building and ministry expansion campagin was completed in 2016, it included a vision for a future patio on the east side of Fellowship Hall. As we celebrate 200 years of ministry and service, it is fitting to bring that vision to life. The patio will be a place to honor and remember the people who matter to us, and a place for community, connection, and conversation.
For two centuries, our church has been a gathering place for LaGrange. Baptisms and weddings, birthday parties and funerals, and groups of every kind have filled these walls and grounds with life. This hallowed ground is a special place for so many. A commemorative brick offers everyone touched by the life of this church a way to become a lasting part of its story.

What Happens Next
We will take orders for commemorative bricks through March 31, 2027. Each brick is laser-engraved with permanent black lettering and comes with a lifetime warranty. Once the bricks arrive and the groundwork for the patio is complete, we will lay them in place. In July 2027, we will dedicate the patio and give thanks to God for those we honor and remember, and for 200 years of faith, family, and service
