Thank you for your food and monetary donations to Dutchess Outreach.

One of the most requested items in the food pantry is toilet paper. It is not available at the food bank.  Please donate a package so that we might provide our clients with a roll or two.  We also need your used egg cartons to package donated eggs that are delivered in open cartons.

Hearty soups, canned vegetables and fruits, ravioli, chili, rice, cereal, powdered milk, and coffee are welcome. Snacks like granola bars, raisins, cookies and crackers help to break the winter/pandemic doldrums.

FPUP Church provides food for evening meals for between 80 and 110 adults on the fourth Wednesday of every month in Poughkeepsie for the Gail Webster House. The clients have been housed at a larger site since the spring.  Transitional housing is still taking place at the previous facility. If you would like to help with this Mission project - which is more important than even - please contact the church office (452-0684) or any member of the Mission Committee. 

Another way to support Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church's commitment to provide a monthly meal for the Homeless Shelter is to make a monetary donation.  Donate any amount to FPUPC and put "Homeless Shelter Meal" in the "Other" category when giving online or in the memo line if donating by check.  All donation amounts are appreciated. It costs Hudson River Housing $300 for one meal for up to 100 people.  So, 12 $25 donations or 6 $50 donations will provide funds for one evening meal.  We will keep you posted on how donations are going. On your assigned Sunday, please bring in 1 or 2 food items and drop off in the kitchen before the 10:00 AM Service. 

If you will not be in church on your assigned Sunday, you may drop off your food item anytime over the weekend.
